Raising urgently needed funds for local charities

Sunday 10th September 2023

This is the eleventh successive year of the event which attracts 200-300 riders each year. We were pleased to hold the event last year after going virtual in 2019 due to Covid and we hope this year will see even more riders taking part.

There are three routes which have been updated this year so you can pick the one which best suits your ability.

After your ride, there will be refreshments by way of a BBQ and teas/coffees included in the fee. There will also be a bar on site.

Organised by Macclesfield and District Lions Club and Girlguiding and supported by Bollington Town Council, the beneficiaries are East Cheshire Hospice and local charities. Last year we raised £3000 and we are, with your support, hoping to raise the same or more this week.

More of a fun cycle, the 20 km (12miles) Twenty is Plenty gives beginners and families an easier cycle to raise money for charity.
