The Bollington BikeFest returns in 2014 for its third year. With over 300 riders and well over £5000 raised for local charities last year, BBF is firmly established on the sportive calendar. We’ve tweaked the route for this year, Grueller riders tackle the hills first, rather than at the end, but otherwise we’ve kept to the same successful formula of route, feedstations, HQ and rider support.
More of a fun run, the 20 km (12 mile) Twenty gives beginners and families a sense of the occasion of The Grueller, sharing the Grimshaw Lane, Bollington start/finish and award-winning oganisation.
Sharing the Bollington start/finish of The Grueller, the Bash is a tamer affair, taking in 40 miles of Cheshire lanes and foothills. But make no mistake, this is a classic route taking in the finest East Cheshire lanes.
After a preamble of Cheshire lanes and gentle slopes, riders head for the hills for a quick succession of some of the finest woodland and upland hills in Cheshire and Derbyshire. After 75 miles and 5000 ft of classified climbs, you'll be ready for our generous post- event hospitality. Ride hard, eat well!
Entry fee £20 for the Grueller and the Bash, £8 for the Twenty, includes
