This is the fifth successive year of the event which attracted over 200 riders last year. It is organised by the Macclesfield & District Lions Club, Bollington Town Council and Girl Guiding Cheshire Border. The main beneficiary is a very good cause - East Cheshire Hospice- who received £1500 last and we are hoping for more this year with your support. We have sponsorship from The Cooperative Society, Roller Banners, Adelphi Mill Properties, Bollington Brewery and Rudyard Lake Hotel.
More of a fun run, the 20 km (12 mile) Twenty gives beginners and families a sense of the occasion of The Grueller, sharing the Grimshaw Lane, Bollington start/finish and award-winning organisation.
A gentler rider than the Grueller. The new route takes in some of the best of the rolling East Cheshire and North Staffordshire lanes. Same course as last year from which we had good reports from the riders.
More hills, more counties (Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire) than the Bolly Bash. There is very little filler... with over 7000 feet of climbing.
